London Andrews

....Musings and bewbs....

the-noise-inside asked: that picture of you and Momdog in the hammock is so freaking cute. and can I just say that I'm jealous, it's overcast and gloomy here. oh, to be laying in the sun in a hammock...

It is gorgeous outside today. Jury Duty was cancelled today, so I am sitting in the hammock catching up on work - It has to be 70 degrees in the sunshine right now… It is the nicest day we have had since last Saturday…. Totally gorgeous.

mymoose76213 asked: I don't know how you do with tweezers pulling out ticks but if you check out your local camping store the will probably have a tick puller. They look funny but work awesome. They always get the head out. And has a key ring on it.

Neat! I looked it up! I am going to buy one… they are soooo cheap! And they look really handy!

deadmanwalking9187 asked: I think you have the perfect body for Wonder Woman. I hate the picks they have for the current movie in the making. Would you ever act if proposed the opportunity? One more question. ... would you ever dress up as Wonder Woman for a future shoot?

I was Wonder Woman for Halloween two years ago… It is a great costume. With the right photographer, of course I would shoot as Wonder Woman…

mymoose76213 asked: That has to kind of sick having a parking lot for a view while in the hammock. No one herasses the chickens?

Yeah. I live next to a parking lot - Yep!… And you would think that it would suck, right? BUT it doesn’t - I love how much sunlight our backyard gets in the summertime and I also really enjoy the fact that I don’t have any neighbors …. Very rarely does someone even notice that we have chickens… Just dogs and kids notice…

Anonymous asked: I love it when you show off Momdog. You two are a couple of fancy ladies.

She is my buddy… You realize, that her and I spend almost 24/7 together when I am home. She is with me. Always. She is such a great dog …. I am such a lucky person to have such a great companion all the time…

mymoose76213 asked: What is the cost of a regular burning man ticket if you can get your hands on one? I always thought it was a open to all. More people all the better? The are out in the middle of nowhere plenty of room i would think.

As the city has grown to almost 80,000 humans …. The festival has, sadly, had to deal with the State Law and the Nevada Police. Burning Man has to apply for ALL kinds of permits (including one that has a set # of persons allowed into the festival). Also, they are required by law to allow a certain number of police officers into the festival as well (which started just a few years ago) - The surrounding town? Gerlach? Every single Motel/Hotel books solid with Police … Their squad cars line up in the parking lots…. There are SO many undercover police officers at Burning Man now. It is a bit insane….

Anyways - Because of permits, Burning Man is no longer open to the public…. Tickets run from $300-400 a person - A TON of that money is given back to artists that produce HUGE and unbelievable art projects in the desert for Burners to enjoy… It also allows a ton of people to get there early, to set up the city, to plan the city, to construct Center Camp…

Everyone complains about the ticket price. But for a TRUE and life changing experience? Burning Man is well worth $400 …. There is no other festival like it - You cannot put a price on something so special. And I will always say it… The price isn’t the issue, it is GETTING to Burning Man that is difficult… It is on the other side of the country!

It is a community that is filled with magic. I love going to the seminars about sustainable living and living off the grid (the people who teach those classes *actually* live off the grid) - I love doing Yoga in the morning at HeeBeeGeeBees and sitting in the steam bath with 30 beautiful naked humans - I love watching the sunrise through a dust-storm with great friends and listening to Jazz at 3am Hair of the Dog and drinking tea while watching arial dancers at Skinny Kitty Tea House….

We have made a ton of amazing friends through festivals. In fact, Matthew and I went to a regional burn in Arizona a few year back and we hiked through this amazing canyon with a bunch of random makeshift friends … And one of those Burners? Moved to Rochester… And she is a good friend now. She comes to Family Dinner every weekend.
